This is a great show and everyone should go see it!
Jordan is an exquisite craftsperson. She is committed to every detail in her work and it shows. Her work is infused with genuine emotion and emits a sense of loss and possibly some yearning as well. The work is a bit dark but simultaneously is full of satisfaction It's as if one is accepting a large sacrifice that has been made for a greater cause or being, which in this case would be the sea.
Geoff's work is pretty sweet as well. Upon entering the gallery we are confronted with a large 'skeleton' Possibly a mammoth or an elephant, I'm not sure. Most of his work is photo based and I will admit is a bit quiet next to Jordan's. There was a striking wall of frames filled with black and white butterflies. It was not obvious to me if these were photos or drawings...
